- Yesterday, I was eating at a chinese retaurant while reading over their place mats (explanations of the chinese calendar years). I suddely realized that 2 years ago, it was the year of the cow and mad cow disease broke out. Last year, it was the year of the bird and avian flu was appearing. This year, it is the year of the pig and swine flu is everywhere. Next year is the year of the cock. I am slightly scared of whats to come.
